I.Grading/Scoring will be over the phone with a teacher
A.We will only focus on Checkups and Self Tests
1.Teachers will help students to grade their Checkups over the phone
2.Teachers will tell students to mark answers if wrong
3.Teachers will give correct answers to wrong Checkup answers
a)But students will be required to write a page and item number where the answers originally come from (This is the same requirement as students had during normal school days)

II.Progress and Promotion (onto the next PACE book)
B.Students will take the Self Test as they do normally
C.Parents, you may first quiz your children before they take the Self Test. Note: Students, if your parents do not read English, you may go ahead and take the Self Test.
1.Parents, please call out spelling words in Word Building and have your children recite to you their Scripture verse from memory. Finally, please sign the bottom of the page of the Self Test because teachers will grade PACEs later.
2.However, only the student must complete the Self Test
a)We will depend on parent’s and other attending adult’s honesty in making sure only the student completes the Self Test
D.Once completed with the Self Test, student and/or parent must call the school (please see top of page 1 for time) for grading and scoring
1.If the school phone is busy, please send as an e-mail at TCAVirtualLearning@outlook.com .
(1)The principal and almost all school staff will have access to this e-mail. A staff will always be online to monitor any messages. You may ask questions and send pictures of problems. This will be a community e-mail, and may be used at the same time by multiple persons.
2.While on the phone, the teacher will be using the Score Key to help you grade.
3.Teacher will tell student which answers to mark wrong

F.If student earns at least 80% on the Self Test, TCA will accept this Self Test score in place of a PACE Test score
1.If student earns at least 80% on the Self Test, student will not need to take the PACE test on this subject
2.If student earns at least 80% on the Self Test, teacher will not give the correct answers to questions student got wrong. Student should then correct as best as he can the mistakes in order to receive partial credit for a higher test score
3.If student earns at least 80% on the Self Test, teacher will record the score (as preliminary) and will consider the PACE number as successfully completed.
4.Then the completed PACE must dropped off at school
a)There will be a Drop-Off table on the school porch
b)Drop-Off Log will be on the table. Please sign it
c)Please see top of page 1 for time
5.If student was able to figure out on his own the correct answers (and write the page number where he got the original answers), then student will receive partial credit for successfully corrected mistakes after teacher collects PACE from the Drop-Off tray
6.Teacher will then update the preliminary Self Test score and add the partial credit earned for successfully corrected mistakes for a higher test score

H.If student earns less than 80% on the Self Test, teacher will inform student and parent right then and there.
I.Student will hang up. Student will erase all answers on Self Test, and re-take the Self Test.
J.Student will call teacher at another time to grade the re-taken Self Test.
K.If student fails again, teacher will inform the principal. Principal will determine what next steps to take.

III.School Work Help
A.We are relying on parents to help their children understand and complete school work
1.The PACE book is full of instructions and teaching materials that parents can use to help their children.
B.However, if you still need our help, our staff is more than happy to assist you or your child over the phone. If the school phone is busy, please email us. See below.
1.In some cases, parent may need to take and send a picture of a problem they are needing help with. You may send this via e-mail:
a)TCAVirtualLearning@outlook.com  or
b)over a cellphone. Please be sure to write your child’s name and subject book on the title line.
2.If a voice call is not enough, TCA welcomes parents and (with parental consent) students to send us an e-mail.

Also, should your child need a "face-to-face" help, a parent may want to permit his/her child to download the app, Zoom Cloud Meeting on their smartphones. Our teachers are more than willing to tutor over this video app.

We understand that this is a most challenging time for the world, our nation, and our school. If we all work together, we will still be able to provide your children the best education that we all desire for them.

Please regularly check the school website for any updates and instructions. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Our prayers are for our Nation, or government leaders, our fellow citizens, and for you and your family. May the Lord bless you and keep you. Stay safe. Wash your hands. Distance yourself. We are doing our best to implement a safe zone for you.Type your paragraph here.
